Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani has been appointed as the next Chief of Defence Staff, succeeding General Anil Chauhan. He will also serve as secretary of the Department of Military Affairs. Lt Gen Subramani brings extensive experience from various command and staff appointments, including leading formations in diverse operational environments and serving as Vice Chief of the Army Staff.
